Help with Rayista.

Requirements and permissions

• Rayista requires an iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
• Camera access is needed to preview looks and capture photos and videos.
• Microphone access enables sound in video recordings.
• Photos access lets Rayista save captures and open, adjust, or delete items in your library. Limited access works with the items you permit. Full access also lets Rayista organize its album.

You can change access in iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security.

Take a photo

1. Open Camera in Rayista and allow camera access.
2. Choose a look from the strip or browse the collection.
3. Frame your shot and tap the shutter.

If the viewfinder is black, check that Rayista has camera access in Settings. Allow Photos access to save captures.

Record video with sound

Switch to video and start recording. Use pause and resume to continue the same clip, or take a still photo with the side shutter. Tap Stop to finish.

If a recording has no sound, check Rayista's microphone permission in Settings. Recordings made without microphone access cannot have that missing sound restored afterward.

Looks and favorites

Preview all 60+ bundled looks live. Capture with 9 free filters, or select Original to shoot without a filter. Pro unlocks capture with the remaining bundled looks.

Browse collections, mark favorites, and arrange the looks you use most at the front of the strip. Bundled looks arrive with app updates. You can also create or import your own looks.

Adjust a photo or video in Studio

1. Open Studio using the mode selector.
2. Choose a photo or video from your library.
3. Apply a look or adjust light, color, and texture. Use curves, layers, masks, and imported .cube LUTs for more control.
4. Save your adjustments with Rayista Pro.

You can try Studio's tools for free. Saving edits and custom looks requires Pro.

Adjustments to supported Photos items are saved to the same asset, with the original retained by Photos. Imported files can become new assets. If a file already has a filter applied and no original, Rayista cannot recover the unfiltered image.

Create and share a look

Save your Studio adjustments as a named look, then select it in Camera to preview it live. Share a look as a .rayista file and open a file someone sends you to import it.

A shared file can include your author name, a preview image, and embedded LUT data. Check what you are sharing and make sure you have permission to share any imported material.

Sync looks with iCloud

Turn on iCloud Looks in Rayista's settings to sync saved looks across devices using the same iCloud account. The setting is available when iCloud Drive is available. It is off by default.

If syncing fails, check iCloud Drive, available storage, and your connection, then use the retry option in Rayista. Turning sync off stops future syncing but leaves existing iCloud files. Deleting a look while sync is enabled also deletes it from the synced collection.

This setting syncs looks. Your photos and videos follow your separate iCloud Photos settings.

Formats and camera settings

Choose HEIF or JPEG photos. Video resolution, frame rate, codec, and stabilization depend on your iPhone. Camera controls include lenses, focus, exposure, flash, timer, grid, and aspect ratio.

Your library and deleting captures

Rayista uses your Photos library. With full access, captures and adjusted items appear in a Rayista album. With limited access, only permitted items are available.

Deleting a capture in Rayista deletes it from Photos after the system confirmation. If you use iCloud Photos, that deletion can sync to other devices. Check Recently Deleted in Photos if you need to recover an item.

Removing the app leaves assets already saved in Photos, but removes Rayista's local settings and saved looks. Export or sync looks you want to keep before deleting the app.

Rayista Pro

Pro unlocks capture with Pro looks and saving Studio edits and custom looks. Monthly and yearly plans provide the same access. The app shows your local price and renewal terms before purchase.

Apple bills the auto-renewing subscription. To manage or cancel it, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and Rayista. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it. See Apple's cancellation instructions.

After changing devices or reinstalling, use Restore Purchases in Rayista while signed in to the Apple Account that bought the subscription. For a refund request, use Apple's Report a Problem.
